Certified by Weil-McLain for upstate New York

Trinity Plumbing & Drains is the only Weil-McLain factory-certified startup and service provider in upstate New York. Our technicians are trained by Weil-McLain on its equipment and work to its startup and service procedures.

A careful startup is what lets a new boiler reach the efficiency it was bought for. It also leaves the owner with recorded readings to measure every future service visit against.

  • Mechanical contractors who need a certified startup before a job can close out
  • Engineers who want a plant commissioned to Weil-McLain's procedure
  • Facility managers at schools, offices and municipal buildings

What we do

From first fire to the yearly service

Need a startup booked for a handover date? Send the details and we will work back from it.

  • Startup

A walk-through of the gas supply, venting, piping and condensate lines before anything fires. Then first fire, gas pressure and combustion set with an analyzer, and every safety and limit control tested. The results go to you as a written startup report.

  • Commissioning

Controls set up for the building: setpoints, outdoor reset and the firing sequence across multiple boilers. Where a building management system is involved we work alongside the controls contractor, and we take the building staff through the plant before handing it over.

  • Service and repair

Planned maintenance, combustion testing and troubleshooting on running plants, whoever installed them.

  • Warranty work

Covered failures on Weil-McLain equipment are diagnosed and repaired by us as warranty work.

Questions

Commercial Weil-McLain work

Why have a factory-certified technician start up a Weil-McLain commercial boiler?

Startup is when the gas pressure, combustion and controls are set for the building the boiler actually sits in. Done to Weil-McLain's procedure by a technician it has trained, the plant runs the way it was specified, and the readings on the startup report become the baseline every later service visit is checked against.

Which Weil-McLain models do you work on?

All of them. We start up and service every Weil-McLain model, from a wall-hung Evergreen on a light commercial job to a sectional cast iron plant assembled in the boiler room.

Will you service a Weil-McLain plant another contractor installed?

Yes. Maintenance, repairs and warranty work are the same whoever put the boilers in.

How do we book a startup?

Call (518) 348-3032 or use the form on this page. Send the boiler model, how many boilers there are, the site address and the date you are working towards. We reply with a date and a short list of what has to be in place on site first.

Do you travel outside the Capital Region?

Our certification covers upstate New York. We are based in Averill Park, east of Albany; for a site further out, call and we will plan the visit around the job.
